چکیده
We investigate the quantum state generated by optical parametric down-conversion in a $\chi^{(2) } $ medium driven two noncollinear light modes. The analysis shows emergence of multipartite, namely 3- or 4-partite, entangled states subset spatio-temporal modes process. These appear as bright spots against background fluorescence, providing an interesting analogy with phenomenology recently observed two-dimensional nonlinear photonic crystals. study realistic setups: i) Non-critical phase-matching periodically poled Lithium Tantalate slab, characterized 3-mode among hot spots. ii) A type I setup Beta-Barium Borate crystal, where spatial walk-off between pumps can be exploited to make transition quadripartite state. In both cases we show that properties controlled modulating relative intensity pump waves, making device versatile tool for engineering.

Hyperentanglement in Parametric Down-Conversion
A theory of spontaneous parametric down-conversion, which gives rise to a quantum state that is simultaneously entangled in three-dimensional wavevector and polarization, allows us to understand the unusual characteristics of fourth-order quantum interference in many experiments, including ultrafast parametric down-conversion, the speci c example illustrated in this paper. The comprehensive app...
متن کاملInterferometric Bell-state preparation using femtosecond-pulse-pumped Spontaneous Parametric Down-Conversion
We present theoretical and experimental study of preparing maximally entangled two-photon polarization states, or Bell states, using femtosecond pulse pumped spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC). First, we show how the inherent distinguishability in femtosecond pulse pumped type-II SPDC can be removed by using an interferometric technique without spectral and amplitude post-selection. ...

متن کاملZeno effect in parametric down-conversion.
The Zeno effect refers to the inhibition of the isolated temporal evolution of a dynamical system when the observation of such evolution is attempted [1]. This observation is usually described by frequent measurements on the system performed in order to discover whether the initial state has changed or not. In the limit of very frequent measurements, continuous observation, or arbitrary high re...
متن کاملEntanglement in cascaded-crystal parametric down-conversion.
We use spontaneous parametric down-conversion in a cascade of crystals, driven by a single monochromatic cw pump laser, to study the interference of entangled photon pairs. By changing the distance between the crystals, the observed quantum interference pattern varies continuously from that associated with a longer single crystal to that associated with independent emissions from two distinct c...
